Why Do We Offer Free Inspections?

When you contact Attic Projects for an estimate, we will send out one of our talented technicians to fully inspect your attic and crawl space, along with the exterior of your home and any other potential problem areas.

We do this entirely free of charge for one simple reason: the inspection is for us as much as it is for you. In order for us to fully understand the scope of the problem and determine if we’re the right company for the job, we need to get into the space to get a visual picture of what’s going on.

By conducting a detailed inspection, we can make sure that we put together a customized solution that will get rid of the problems in your home and set you up for years of personalized protection.

What Do We Look For During Our Free Inspections?

In addition to looking for the source of the problems that are occurring in your attic or crawl space, we also need to inspect the areas to determine how your project will be completed. The attic and crawl space are often dark, cramped spaces that contain vital resources for your home. To put together a comprehensive proposal, we need to take a number of items into consideration including:

  • How difficult is it to move around in the working area?

  • What kind of equipment will we need to complete the job?

  • What measures are required to avoid damaging any important systems in your attic or crawl space (water sprinklers, electrical wiring, HVAC systems)?

  • How much set up will be necessary to protect the interior of your home?

If you feel safe to climb up with us into the attic or down below into the crawl space, we are more than happy to guide you through the process in person. If not, we fully photodocument the spaces and show videos to back up the work that potentially needs to be done.

Once our inspection is complete, we educate you on the situation and leave the decisions to you. There is no pressure to follow through with the service and no hard sales. We let you know about truly what is happening in your attic and crawl space, good or bad!

We will never send an estimate without first taking the time to explain our scope of work and we will NEVER start a job on your property before fully explaining to you what is involved from start to finish. We want to make sure that you have all of the information necessary to make an educated decision.

How Long Do The Free Inspections Take?

This is a common question that we receive and a difficult one to answer since every home is unique. The length of an inspection can change based on a number of factors including the square footage of your home, how difficult it is to move around your attic and crawl space, and the severity of issues that you are facing. We typically estimate that our inspections will take one to two hours, including the time that is required to fully educate you about your situation.

What Is Included With Your Free Inspection

Full Report of the Findings In Person

Our project manager will take his time going through your home, compiling a custom report detailing the situation in your attic and crawl space. He will then sit with you to explain everything so that you can fully understand the scope of the problem.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to take everything in the report on faith alone. Our project managers will take hundreds of photos and videos in your attic and crawl space to back up every item that they discuss in the report.

Detailed measurements and experience from thousands of previous jobs allow our project managers to provide extremely accurate estimates of how many crew members will be required and how long it will take to complete so that you can get your home back to ideal shape as soon as possible.

Each attic and crawl space is different, so we have dozens of material options to choose from. While our project managers will be sure to recommend the ideal material options for your specific situation, they will also provide you with alternative options to fit your needs and budgets.

The full scope of work will include exact pricing for each line item. Your project manager will walk you through this proposal with information on what needs to be done immediately, what may be able to wait, and what is in good condition for the long-term so that you have full say in the end result and amount.
